• How does Virtual Urgent Care work?
  A virtual visit allows you to meet with a Rochester Regional Health (RRH) provider remotely via video when you can't make it to your provider's office or one of our Urgent Care locations. Like an in-person visit, a virtual visit can be made same-day, no scheduled appointment is required.

• What conditions can be treated?  

  A virtual visit is suggested for non-emergency conditions including:

  • Allergies
  • Bug bites
  • Colds
  • Congestion
  • Fever
  • Pink Eye
  • Rashes
  • Sinus
  • Stomach aches
• What do I need for a virtual visit? 

  It is best to have a MyCare account. If you don’t have an account, you can sign up here or call (585) 922-TELE (8353).

  To use a mobile device for your video visit, you need to have the MyCare app installed.

  To use a computer for your video visit, you will need a working camera, microphone, and speaker.

  If you are not prepared to create a MyCare account, that's okay. You can still use Virtual Urgent Care by clicking on the above "Get Started Now" button.

• How much does a virtual visit cost?
  St. Lawrence Health Urgent Care visits are covered under insurance as a telemedicine visit. Check with your insurance provider to see what your individual plan covers.
• What happens after my virtual visit?

  Following your visit, your provider may write you a prescription and/or order testing, or refer you to a specialist for more care, if needed.

  Additional services may include:

  • blood work or urine tests
  • imaging, such as X-rays
  • swabs for cultures (i.e., COVID-19, influenza, strep throat)

  The location and provider to which a patient is referred will depend on their primary care provider.
