About the SLH Foundation

The St. Lawrence Health Foundation's mission involves raising, investing, and managing funds for the benefit of Canton-Potsdam Hospital and Gouverneur Hospital and their patients. 

The generosity of the hospitals' communities helped to advance healthcare over many years. The CPH and GH foundations were combined in 2021 to form the SLH Foundation, which continues to elevate the quality of care, and improve health and wellness in the regional communities. 

The Foundation conducts annual and capital campaigns, accepts memorial and planned gifts, coordinates government and private funding grant applications on behalf of Canton-Potsdam Hospital and Gouverneur Hospital, and offers named gift recognition for major donors. The Foundation also oversees invested funds to ensure the long-term future of healthcare in our communities.

For many years, the Foundation has existed to support the Canton-Potsdam Hospital and Gouverneur Hospital communities, ensuring the highest quality, patient-centered, medical and healthcare services are available to the people of St. Lawrence County and beyond. Through careful planning and stewardship, the Foundation ensures this high level of care will be available to our family, friends, and neighbors now and years into the future.
