Gouverneur Hospital Auxiliary

The purpose of the Gouverneur Hospital Auxiliary is to advance and promote the welfare of the Hospital. Its members undertake activities to raise funds toward the donation of needed equipment, provide scholarships to students in our service area pursuing a health-related career, and to participate in community-based programs approved by the Hospital Board of Directors.

Activities and Services

All members contribute in some way to the Auxiliary through volunteering in such was as:

  • Baking
  • Contributing items to the Christmas Sale: handcrafted or handmade items, nearly new gifts
  • Fundraisers: Antiques in the Park, Book Sale, Christmas Sale, Golf Tournament, Spring Dance, Uniform Sale
  • Life Saver Gift Shop
  • Phone calls
  • Selling raffle tickets
  • Used books for the Hospital gift cart (no textbooks)

You may also volunteer as a:

  • Board Member
  • Officer
  • Committee Chair

Becoming a Member

Annual dues of $15 entitles a person to a membership card and active status.

The Auxiliary Board of Directors is comprised of 16 community members who volunteer their time and talents to determine and plan the activities of the Auxiliary. The Board meets monthly to organize these activities through established committees, which over see fundraising events and Auxiliary business.

The Annual Meeting is held each February to elect the Board directors and officers, and conduct any appropriate business matters.
