Friday, March 13, 11:30 am
Join us for our next Wise Community, Wise Choices educational luncheon, from 11:30-1:00 pm.
Dr. Leslie Russek, PT, DPT, PhD, OCS, will be presenting a discussion entitled "Fibromyalgia and the Sensitive Nervous System." According to Dr. Russek, "Fibromyalgia is considered the 'poster child' for a condition called 'central sensitization' where the central nervous system becomes overactive. Other conditions associated with central sensitization include migraine, irritable bowel, chronic fatigue, myofascial pain, chemical sensitivity, and temporomandibular pain." This session will discuss the symptoms of central sensitization, common causes, and what you can do to make it less sensitive.
There is no charge to attend, and all are welcome; however, RSVPs are required by March 11.
